To realize a vehicular mirror device and a vehicular mirror control method, which allow the suppression of glare felt by an occupant who is not involved in a driving operation.SOLUTION: A vehicular mirror device includes: a drive mode obtainment section obtaining an either drive mode of a first drive mode in which a vehicle travels on a drive operation of an occupant and a second drive mode in which the vehicle travels without a drive operation of the occupant; and a control section for setting reflectance of a vehicular mirror facing a vehicle rearward to be an automatic anti-glare state in which the reflectance of a vehicular mirror is changed in accordance with a light amount difference between a light amount toward a vehicle front in relation with the mirror itself and a light amount toward a vehicle rear in relation therewith when the drive mode obtained by the drive mode obtainment section is the first drive mode, or setting to an anti-glare maintaining state in which the reflectance of the mirror is maintained at a state lower than a normal state in which the light amount difference falls within a given range when the drive mode obtained by the drive mode obtainment section is the second drive mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
