To provide a thrust generator that secures high reproducibility of a pitch angle, when changing the pitch angle of a rotary vane.SOLUTION: The thrust generator comprises: a thrust generation motor that rotates a plurality of rotary vanes; a pitch angle changing motor that changes pitch angles of the rotary vanes; a first movement converting part that converts rotation of the pitch angle changing motor to a liner movement of a direct-acting shaft; a second movement converting part that converts the pitch angles of the rotary vanes; and a rotary vane support structure. The rotary vane support structure has a hub that rotates and a plurality of grips that supports the rotary vanes respectively. The hub has a case for encasing inner end portions of the grips. The rotary vane support structure comprises: a plurality of radial bearings, which is arranged inside the case, and supports the inner end portions of the grips rotatably; and a plurality of thrust bearings, which is positioned on an outer side in a radial direction of the hub with respect to the radial bearings, and arranged inside the case, and into which the inner end portions of the grips are inserted, and bears centrifugal force which acts on the grips during rotation of the rotary vanes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
