To provide a vehicular drive device that is able to minimize the cost and size of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A vehicular drive device 100 includes: an input member I that is drivingly coupled to an internal combustion engine EG; an output member O that is drivingly coupled to a wheel W; a first shaft member 1 drivingly coupled to the input member I; a second shaft member 2 drivingly coupled to the output member O; a first gear G1 disposed coaxially with the first shaft member 1; a second gear G2 disposed coaxially with the second shaft member 2 and that engages with the first gear G1; a first rotary electric machine MG1 having a first rotor gear RG1; and a second rotary electric machine MG2 having a second rotor gear RG2; wherein the first rotor gear RG1 is drivingly coupled to one of the first gear G1 and the second gear G2; the second rotor gear RG2 is drivingly coupled to the output member O; and wherein a first engagement device 51 that connects and disconnects power transmission between the first shaft member 1 and the first gear G1, and a second engagement device 52 that connects and disconnects power transmission between the second shaft member 2 and the second gear G2 are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
