To provide a system capable of accurately positioning an own vehicle or an obstacle, which exists ahead of or by the side of the own vehicle, using a radio wave employed in an existing system even in a place or over a time zone where or when a GPS radio wave cannot be properly received.SOLUTION: A positioning system 100 using a roadside marker includes an OBU 3 that is installed in a vehicle 1 and transmits WCN which is an inherent ID, an RSU 2 that is disposed in the vicinity of an obstacle B and receives the WCN, and map information 5B that is stored in the vehicle 1 and serves as a database including information on the WCN of the OBU 3, information on geographic coordinates, information on installation KP, and information on the obstacle B. Based on the map information 5B, the OBU 3 is identified using the received WCN. The own vehicle position of the vehicle 1 and the position of the obstacle B relative to the vehicle 1 are estimated and finalized. The OBU 3 is formed with an OBU that is an onboard device of an ETC system, and the RSU 2 is formed with an RSU that is a roadside facility of the ETC system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】GPS電波が適切に受信できない場所や時間帯においても、自車位置や自車に対する前方や側方の障害物の位置を、既存のシステムで使用している電波を用いて確実に測位可能なシステムを提供する。【解決手段】路側マーカーによる測位システム100は、障害物Bの周辺に配置され、固有のIDであるWCNを送信するOBU3と、車両1に搭載され、WCNを受信するRSU2と、車両1に備えられ、OBU3のWCNの情報、ジオ座標の情報および設置KPの情報と、障害物Bの情報とがデータベース化された地図情報5Bと、を備え、地図情報5Bを基に、受信したWCNからOBU3を特定して、車両1の自車位置および車両1に対する障害物Bの位置を推定確立する。またOBU3がETCシステムの車載機器であるOBUで構成され、RSU2がETCシステムの道路側設備であるRSUで構成されている。【選択図】図5
