To enable the detection of a wear width by a wear area detection method optimum for each image.SOLUTION: A wire wear inspection method includes: a multiple determination criteria optimum mixing ratio determining step including a database input step, a multiple determination criteria input step, and a multiple determination criteria mixing balance determination step; and a multiple determination criteria use wire wear detecting step including an image input step, the multiple determination criteria input step, a multiple determination criteria mixing balance input step, a wear area detection method input step, and a wire wear area calculation step. Based on image data, determination criterion data, optimum mixing balance data and wear area detection method data, a wear area detection method optimum for the image data is selected. A wear width of a trolley wire 16, obtained by the wear area detection method, is output as a final detection result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
