To provide a technique for suppressing deformation of a front pillar against a load acting from front of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A front pillar upper structure of a vehicle includes an outer member and an inner member. The inner member constitutes a wall inside in a vehicle width direction of the front pillar upper structure, and is joined to an outer member constituting a wall outside in the vehicle width direction of the front pillar upper structure and forms a closed cross section structure. The inner member has a flange part, a first wall part, and a second wall part. The second wall part is arranged between a flange part which is positioned on the lower side of the inner member and is joined to the outer member, and the first wall part positioned on the upper side of the flange part, and has an inclination angle of 41° to 68° relative to an inertia main shaft which is an inertia main shaft when the front pillar upper structure is bent and deformed and extends in a vehicle width direction in a cross section nearly vertical to the longitudinal direction of the front pillar upper structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両の前方より作用する荷重に対して、フロントピラーの変形を抑制する技術を提供する。【解決手段】車両のフロントピラー上部構造は、アウタ部材とインナ部材とを備える。インナ部材は、フロントピラー上部構造の車幅方向内側の壁を構成し、フロントピラー上部構造の車幅方向外側の壁を構成するアウタ部材と接合して閉断面構造を形成する。インナ部材は、フランジ部と、第1の壁部と、第2の壁部と、を有する。第2の壁部は、インナ部材の下方側に位置しアウタ部材と接合するフランジ部と、フランジ部よりも上方側に位置する第1の壁部と、の間に配置され、フロントピラー上部構造が曲げ変形したときの慣性主軸であって、フロントピラー上部構造の長手方向に略垂直な断面において車幅方向に延びる慣性主軸に対して、41°〜68°の範囲内の傾斜角を有する。【選択図】図2
