To prevent damage to a hull and improve the crew members' comfort.SOLUTION: Means for acquiring the shape of the sea surface in the vicinity of a vessel predicts the movement of waves and attaches a tag 30a to the crest of each wave. When it is determined that the hull of the vessel goes over the wave to which the tag 30a is attached, BCU (Boat Control Unit) controls steering mechanism so that the hull can avoid the crest, in order to reduce the impact of a behavior of the hull caused by the wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
