To correct an error included in a measured value of a rotation angle of a rotor being a rotating body with a simple method without using external measurement means.SOLUTION: A rotation angle arithmetic device comprises: a sensor 24 that outputs a detection signal in accordance with a rotation of a rotor; a rotation angle arithmetic unit 51 that performs arithmetic operation of a measurement angle being a measured value of a rotation angle of the rotor on the basis of the detection signal; an estimation angle arithmetic unit 82 that performs arithmetic operation of an estimation angle being an estimated value of the rotation angle of the rotor on the basis of the measurement angle of the rotor during an inertial rotation; a first correction value arithmetic unit 56 that performs arithmetic operation of a first collection value on the basis of a difference between the measurement angle and the estimation angle; a second correction value arithmetic unit 102 that calculates a second correction value correcting a phase of the measurement angle so that a rotational speed difference when a motor is driven in each of a clockwise rotation and a clockwise rotation on the basis of the measurement angle is reduced; and angle correction units 52 and 53 correcting the measurement angle on the basis of the first correction value and the second correction value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
