To provide a technology capable of specifying the position of a vehicle even in a dark time zone of a night or when a fog, fugitive dust, or the like occurs.SOLUTION: A vehicle position specification system 1 includes a reflection member 11A and a reflection member 11B arranged on a road surface in a track at a regular interval in the traveling direction of a train, and a distance measuring device 12. The distance measuring device 12 irradiates measurement light, receives its reflection light, and measures a distance to an object within a measurement range. The distance measurement device 12 measures the front face of the train being going to stop, and specifies the position (first vehicle position) of the train from the measured distance. Also, the distance measuring device 12 specifies a rough position (second vehicle position) of the train by determining whether the respective reflection member 11A and reflection member 11B are interrupted by the train on the basis of whether the reflection light returning from the reflection member 11A and the reflection member 11B is detected. The distance measurement device 12 notifies a train operator or the like of either vehicle position on the basis of consistency of the specified two vehicle positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】夜間の暗い時間帯や、霧、砂埃等の発生時においても、車両の位置を特定できる技術を提供する。【解決手段】車両位置特定システム1は軌道内の路面上に、列車の進行方向に規定の間隔で配置された反射部材11A及び反射部材11Bと、測距装置12を備える。測距装置12は測定光を照射し、その反射光を受信して、測定範囲内の対象物までの距離を測定する。測距装置12は、停車しようとする列車の前面までの距離を測定し、測定した距離から列車の位置(第1車両位置)を特定する。また、測距装置12は、反射部材11A及び反射部材11Bから戻ってくる反射光を検知したか否かに基づき、反射部材11A及び反射部材11Bの各々が列車により遮られているか否かを判定することで、列車の大まかな位置(第2車両位置)を特定する。測距装置12は特定した2つの車両位置の整合性に基づき、いずれかの車両位置を列車の運転手等に通知する。【選択図】図1
