To provide a rain water, snow, frost, or hail attachment prevention method for inexpensively preventing rain water, snow, frost, or hail or the like from freezing by attachment to a light emission surface of a traffic light or a pilot lamp or attachment to an outer side or the like of a sensor window in various kinds of on-vehicle sensors or the like, or preventing dew condensation.SOLUTION: A chip resistor 16 is used as a heat generation source. The chip resistor 16 is a basic component to be frequently used in a circuit of every electric and electronic apparatus and also to be inexpensively obtained on the market as a general-purpose article. The chip resistor 16 provides a stable heat generation amount and can be used in AC and DC, so as to facilitate circuit design. Besides, the chip resistor 16 is compact. Such a compact chip resistor 16 that can be inexpensively installed in a small apparatus is exclusively used as a heat generation source to heat an attachment prevention object such as a traffic light 10, so as to inexpensively prevent freezing on the attachment prevention object 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
