To provide a rubber composition for tires capable of simultaneously improving dry grip performance, heat sag resistance, and breaking strength.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires is obtained by blending 100 pts.mass of a diene rubber containing 80 pts.mass or more of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber with: 100-200 pts.mass of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) of 130-450 m2/g; and 0.5-20 pts.mass of a phenolic resin having at least one ethyleneamine-derived structural unit represented by -(NH-C2H4)- in the molecule.SELECTED DRAWING: None
