To provide a trolley wire inspection device and a trolley wire inspection method, with which it is possible to execute inspection of trolley wires easily with good accuracy.SOLUTION: Provided is a trolley wire inspection device 20 comprising: a line sensor image generation unit 30 for arranging input images having been imaged by a line sensor 22 in order of time series and generating a line sensor image; a learning model 40 having been trained by deep learning using, as training data, the line sensor image and a correct answer value, for each pixel in the line sensor image, of whether or not the pixel corresponds to a worn region of trolley wire; a worn region extraction unit 31 for inputting the line sensor image to the learning model 40, inferring, for each pixel in the line sensor image, whether or not the pixel corresponds to the worn region, and generating a worn region extraction image in which the worn region is extracted; and a trolley wire inspection unit 32 for executing, on the basis of the worn region extraction image, one of calculation of the remaining diameter of the trolley wire, calculation of deviation, and determination of excessive wear, or a combination of some of these.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
