To prevent a rail positioning device protruding from a wall from shifting and improves the rail positioning accuracy.SOLUTION: There are included: a rail gauge 101 that matches the distance between two rails 11; a rail grip portion 102 that grips the rail 11; a base 105 that rotatably supports the rail gauge 101; a left-right position adjustment unit 104 that is provided on the base 105 and can be expanded and contracted in the left and right directions; a wall contact part 106 connected to the left and right of the left-right position adjustment unit 104; a pair of front-rear position adjustment units 103 that are provided on the left and right sides of the base 105 and can be expanded and contracted in the front-rear direction; a light receiving unit 108 that detects the position of the rail gauge 101; a force sensor 109 that detects the tension force of the left-right position adjustment unit 104; and a control unit 107 that controls the front-rear position adjustment unit 103 and the left-right position adjustment unit 104 to move the rail gauge 101 to the installation position of the rail 11 based on the detected values of the light receiving unit 108 and the force sensor 109.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
