To provide a technology capable of suppressing "galling" that can occur between a partial pinion gear and a gear tooth of a rack without requiring an additional component.SOLUTION: A lock rotating plate 160 that rotates coaxially with a partial pinion gear 150 includes a large diameter part 162 engageable with a lock fixing plate 180, and a small diameter part being not engageable with the lock fixing plate 180. An end gear tooth 153 of a toothed part 152 of the partial pinion gear 150 sets a rotation direction tooth end width being the length of a rotation direction tooth end crest larger than that of intermediate gear teeth. Then, the end gear tooth 153 becomes engaged with a rack tooth (an end rack tooth 172) corresponding to the end gear tooth in a state of a switching operation end time at which the lock fixing plate 180 is engaged with the large diameter part 162, and contact pressure at an engagement place between the lock fixing plate 180 and the large diameter part 162 is reduced by sharing a load F with two engagement places.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】構成要素の追加を伴わずに、部分ピニオンギヤとラックのギヤ歯との間で生じ得る「かじり」を抑制できる技術を提供すること。【解決手段】部分ピニオンギヤ150とともに同軸回転する鎖錠回転板160は、鎖錠固定板180と係合可能な大径部162と、鎖錠固定板180と係合不可能な小径部と、を有する。また、部分ピニオンギヤ150の有歯部152の末端ギヤ歯153は、中間ギヤ歯に比べて、回転方向の歯先面の長さである回転方向歯先幅が大きく設定されている。そして、鎖錠固定板180と大径部162とが係合した転換動作終了時の状態において、末端ギヤ歯153と当該末端ギヤ歯に対応するラック歯(末端ラック歯172)とが係合した状態になり、荷重Fを2つの係合箇所で分担することで、鎖錠固定板180と大径部162との係合箇所での接触圧を低減する。【選択図】図7
