To improve the traveling stability of a four-wheel drive vehicle when the shift position of an automatic transmission is returned to a traveling position during travel of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A rear-wheel side distribution ratio Xr when the shift position of an automatic transmission 28 is switched to an N position from a D position and then to the D position, during travel of the vehicle, is controlled in the direction in which the drive-force distribution of front and rear wheels is balanced. That is, the rear-wheel side distribution ratio Xr is controlled so as to be smaller than a rear-wheel side distribution ratio Xr when the shift position D is switched from the D position to the N position. Therefore, the drive-force difference between the front wheels 14 and the rear wheels 16 when the shift position is returned to the D position is reduced, and a change in drive posture, resulting from the drive-force difference is restricted. Accordingly, the traveling stability of the four-wheel vehicle 10 when the shift position of the automatic transmission 28 is returned to the D position during the travel of the vehicle can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】車両走行中に自動変速機のシフトポジションが走行ポジションへ戻されたときの四輪駆動車両の走行安定性を向上する。【解決手段】車両走行中に自動変速機28のシフトポジションがDポジションからNポジションへ切り替えられた後にDポジションへ戻される際の後輪側配分率Xrが、前後輪の駆動力配分が均衡する方向に制御されるので、つまりシフトポジションがDポジションからNポジションへ切り替えられたときの後輪側配分率Xrよりも小さくなるように制御されるので、シフトポジションがDポジションへ戻されたときの前輪14と後輪16との駆動力差が抑制され、その駆動力差に起因した車両姿勢の変化が抑制される。よって、車両走行中に自動変速機28のシフトポジションがDポジションへ戻されたときの四輪駆動車両10の走行安定性を向上することができる。【選択図】図7
