To provide a power generator control method and a power generator control device that can suitably maintain a battery power amount in the progress of a predetermined travel plan, in a hybrid vehicle which enables charging to a battery from an on-vehicle power generator and an external power source.SOLUTION: A power generator control method includes calculating an estimated basic battery power amount which is a basic value of a battery power amount of a hybrid vehicle in a process of progressing a travel plan, setting first power generation start time of the power generator so that a first estimated battery power amount obtained by adding a power generation power amount of the power generator to the estimated basic battery power amount is maintained to a predetermined lower limit threshold or more, calculating a second estimated battery power amount obtained by reflecting a decrease when scheduled external charging is not executed for the first estimated battery power amount, setting second power generation start time before the first power generation start time so that the second estimated battery power amount is maintained to a lower limit threshold or more, and starting power generation of the power generator at the second power generation start time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】車載の発電機及び外部電源からバッテリへの充電が可能であるハイブリッド車両において、予め定められる走行計画の進行中におけるバッテリ電力量をより好適に維持することのできる発電機制御方法及び発電機制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】走行計画が進行している過程のハイブリッド車両のバッテリ電力量の基本値である推定基本バッテリ電力量を演算し、推定基本バッテリ電力量に対して発電機の発電電力量を加算した第1推定バッテリ電力量が所定の下限閾値以上に維持されるように発電機の第1発電開始時刻を設定し、第1推定バッテリ電力量に対して、予定されていた外部充電が実行されない場合の減少分を反映した第2推定バッテリ電力量を演算し、第2推定バッテリ電力量が下限閾値以上に維持されるように、第1発電開始時刻よりも前の第2発電開始時刻を設定し、第2発電開始時刻において発電機の発電を開始する。【選択図】図3
