To provide a manufacturing method of a vehicular door frame which contributes to downsizing of the vehicular door frame and improvement of bondability of a member, and to provide the vehicular door frame.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a vehicular door frame, an upright column sash extending in a vehicle vertical direction is formed by joining a first member and a second member extending in an extension direction of the upright column sash. An overlapping part which overlaps with a joint surface of the first member and a protruding part which is continuous with the overlapping part and protrudes farther than the joint surface are provided at the second member. The first member and the overlapping part of the second member are joined by friction stir welding, and the protruding part is removed during welding or after welding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
