To provide a permissible speed determination system and a permissible speed determination method, enabling a marginal tire force to be estimated thereby enabling the safe traveling of a vehicle to be supported on the basis of driving safety.SOLUTION: A permissible speed determination system 100 comprises a sensor information acquisition unit 31, a tire force calculation unit 32, a permissible value calculation unit 33 and a permissible speed calculation unit 34. The sensor information acquisition unit 31 acquires the physical quantity of a tire 10 measured by a sensor 20 disposed in the tire 10. The tire force calculation unit 32 inputs the physical quantity of the tire 10 acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit 31 to a calculation model 32a to calculate a marginal tire force. The permissible value calculation unit 33 calculates a tire force permissible value which is derived by subtracting a margin that is set in accordance with the rank of driving safety of an entity that runs the vehicle from the marginal tire force. The permissible speed calculation unit 34 calculates a permissible speed that corresponds to the tire force permissible value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
