To provide a road surface damage detection system capable of properly detecting road surface damage when unexpected damage occurs on the road surface in each road section.SOLUTION: For each road section, the maximum fluctuation ratio that is the maximum value of the fluctuation amount of the wheel speed per unit time for each vehicle is calculated; and for each road section, regularly, the maximum value is selected from the maximum fluctuation ratio of each vehicle within the predetermined period and is set as the section maximum fluctuation ratio. It is determined whether any road surface damage has occurred by comparing a determination target value, which is a value that a comparison value based on the maximum fluctuation ratio of at least one interval set before the last time is subtracted from the latest set interval maximum fluctuation ratio, to a positive threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】各道路区間について、突発的な路面損傷が生じたときに、その路面損傷を適切に検出する。【解決手段】各道路区間について、各車両についての車輪速の単位時間当たりの変動量の最大値である最大変動率を演算する。そして、各道路区間について、定期的に、所定期間内の各車両の前記最大変動率から最大値を選択して区間最大変動率に設定すると共に、最新に設定した区間最大変動率から前回以前に設定した少なくとも1つの区間最大変動率に基づく比較値を減じた判定対象値を、正の閾値と比較して、路面損傷が生じたか否かを判定する。【選択図】図7
