To provide a chain looseness detection device for a passenger conveyor that can accurately detect looseness of a chain.SOLUTION: A chain looseness detection device for a passenger conveyor includes: a weight part abutting on a chain looped between sprockets with its own weight; an arm part for supporting the weight part; a cam part to which the arm part is fixed and which rotates along a predetermined rotation axis; a detection part for detecting that the cam part rotates by a predetermined angle or more; and a control unit for detecting that looseness of the chain occurs by a predetermined reference value or more when the detection part detects that the cam part rotates by the predetermined angle or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
