To provide a method by which a fatigue strength of an As-weld welded part formed between members constituting a truck frame of a railway vehicle is accurately evaluated.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method to evaluate a fatigue strength of an As-weld welded part 3 formed between members 1, 2a which constitute a railway vehicle truck frame. The method comprises a first step to measure a stress by affixing a strain gage on a member 2a in order for a gage end S11 near to the As-weld welded part of a strain gage S1 to exist in a vicinity of a welding toe part 32b of the As-weld welded part and by implementing a static load test of the truck frame, a second step to measure a fatigue limit by affixing a strain gage on the same affixing position as the first step on a test piece to which a welded part corresponding to the As-weld welded part is given and by carrying out a fatigue test on the test piece and a third step to evaluate a fatigue strength of the As-weld welded part by comparing a stress measured in the first step with a fatigue limit measured in the second step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】鉄道車両用の台車枠を構成する部材間に形成されたAs−weld溶接部の疲労強度を精度良く評価する方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、鉄道車両用の台車枠を構成する部材1、2a間に形成されたAs−weld溶接部3の疲労強度を評価する方法であって、ひずみゲージS1のAs−weld溶接部に近い方のゲージ端S11がAs−weld溶接部の溶接止端部32bの近傍に位置するように、ひずみゲージを部材2aに貼付し、台車枠に静荷重試験を実施することで、応力を測定する第1工程と、As−weld溶接部に相当する溶接部が設けられた試験片に、第1工程と同等の貼付位置にひずみゲージを貼付し、試験片に疲労試験を実施することで、疲労限度を測定する第2工程と、第1工程で測定した応力と、第2工程で測定した疲労限度とを比較することで、As−weld溶接部の疲労強度を評価する第3工程と、を含む。【選択図】 図2
