To prevent an impact generated upon closure of a hood from being transmitted to a release handle section in a hood lock device.SOLUTION: The hood lock device comprises: a secondary latch 3 that can hold a hood in its half-open position by engaging a striker S and that is forcibly actuated from a standby position in a release direction by contacting the striker S as the hood is closed; a secondary lever 5 that is rotatable independently of the secondary latch 3; and a synthetic resin release handle 4 that is directly connected to the secondary lever 5. The secondary lever 5 rotates from the standby position in the release direction by the release operation of the release handle 4, and transmits such a rotation to the secondary latch 3 to operate the secondary latch 3 in the release direction to be disengaged from the striker S, while being not in conjunction with a forced operation of the secondary latch 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11

    【課題】フードロック装置において、フードを閉じた際の衝撃が解除ハンドル部に伝達されないようにする。【解決手段】ストライカSに係合することにより、フードを半開位置に保持可能で、かつフードの閉作動に伴って、ストライカSと当接することで、待機位置から解除方向へ強制作動するセカンダリラッチ3と、セカンダリラッチ3と独立回転可能なセカンダリレバー5と、セカンダリレバー5に直接接続される合成樹脂製の解除ハンドル部4と、を備える。セカンダリレバー5は、解除ハンドル部4の解除操作により待機位置から解除方向へ回転することにより、当該回転をセカンダリラッチ3に対して伝達して、セカンダリラッチ3をストライカSの係合から外れる解除方向へ作動させる一方、セカンダリラッチ3の強制作動に対して連動しない構成とする。【選択図】図11
