To provide a tread rubber composition that can produce a pneumatic tire whose vulcanization rate, wear resistance and ozone resistance are equal to those of the pneumatic tire using synthetic isoprene rubber and whose fuel economy is equal to or higher than that of it, while meeting the demand for a recycling-oriented society.SOLUTION: A tread rubber composition comprises a biomass-derived rubber that is obtained by polymerizing a monomer component containing biomass-derived isoprene and satisfies the following formulae (I): 0.5≤δD/δ13C≤3, 10≤δD/δ13C≤30 (I) (In the formulae (I), δD is a hydrogen isotope ratio and δ13C is a carbon isotope ratio).SELECTED DRAWING: None
