To protect the privacy of a user's own vehicle.SOLUTION: (a) A rear camera 21B continuously monitors a rear side of a user's own vehicle while the own vehicle is traveling. When an appearance of a target Vt from the rear side of the own vehicle is detected based on an image of the rear camera 21B, an adjusting device 20 lowers a parallel light transmittance through a window Bc. (b) The rear camera 21B continues to monitor the rear side of the own vehicle. Further, a side camera 21L monitors a side of the own vehicle while the own vehicle is traveling. When an approach of the target Vt to the own vehicle is detected based on the image of the rear camera 21B and the side camera 21L, the adjusting device 20 lowers the parallel light transmittance through the window Lb on the side where the target Vt exists, while keeping the parallel light transmittance through the window Bc lowered. (c) The side camera 21L continues to monitor the side of the own vehicle.
