To obtain a vehicle body structure member that is able to achieve weight reduction while ensuring required rigidity.SOLUTION: In a rear side member 20, a wall portion 76 connecting an upward inclining wall portion 72 provided further forward than a suspension member mounting portion 56 and the suspension member mounting portion 56 is provided. The wall portion 76 is formed to curve from the upward inclining wall portion 72 to the suspension member mounting portion 56 and therefore, a cross-sectional area around the suspension member mounting portion 56 in the upward inclining wall portion 72 becomes small by the area of the wall portion 76 provided, and the rigidity of the suspension member mounting portion 56 decreases. However, the rigidity of the suspension member mounting portion 56 is ensured by providing a rib 78 stretching between the upward inclining wall portion 72 and the wall portion 76. In addition, because the wall portion 76 is formed in the rear side member 20, the depth of an innermost wall portion 40 is made shallow, and consequently the height of a push-out pin seat 92 is decreased. Thus, the need to provide a thick portion at the root of the push-out pin seat 92 is eliminated, and a weight reduction can be achieved accordingly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】必要な剛性を担保しつつ軽量化を図ることが可能な車体構造部材を得る。【解決手段】リアサイドメンバ20において、サスメン取付部56よりも前方側に設けられた上り傾斜壁部72と当該サスメン取付部56を繋ぐ壁部76を設けている。壁部76は、上り傾斜壁部72からサスメン取付部56側へ向かって屈曲して形成されているため、当該壁部76が設けられた分、上り傾斜壁部72におけるサスメン取付部56周りの断面積は小さくなり、サスメン取付部56の剛性は低くなるが、上り傾斜壁部72と壁部76とを架け渡すリブ78を設けることで、当該サスメン取付部56の剛性を担保している。また、リアサイドメンバ20において、壁部76が形成されたことで、奥壁部40の深さが浅くなり、結果的に押出しピン座92の高さが低くなる。これにより、当該押出しピン座92の根元部に肉だまり部を設ける必要はなく、その分、軽量化を図ることができる。【選択図】図3
