To improve the strength and positioning accuracy of a full-open stopper on an arm in a door check device for automobiles.SOLUTION: A door check device for automobiles includes: an arm 2 whose front end is coupled to a vehicle body so that it can pivot; and a check unit 3, which is attached to a door, configured to slide along on a surface of the arm 2 as the door is opened/closed. The arm 2, which includes a single piece of steel plate 9 and a synthetic resin layer 10 covering the surface of the steel plate 9, has a full-open stopper 21 at a rear end in the longitudinal direction that regulates a full-open position of the door by contacting a contacting surface 52 of a case 5 of the check unit 3. The full-open stopper 21 is provided at the rear end of a folded portion 92, which is bent 90 degrees upward or downward along the longitudinal direction of the rear part of the steel plate 9, and is formed by the coating with a synthetic resin layer 10 of an overhang portion 93 that is larger in the vertical direction than a vertical width of the folded portion 92 and a stopper portion 94 that is provided at the front part of the overhang portion 93 and bent 90 degrees to the left or right.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
