To provide an automatic operation device capable of achieving improvement of riding comfort and improvement of energy efficiency, avoiding the frequent repeating of a power running and brake control while travelling between stations, and to provide a train automatic operation system.SOLUTION: An on-train device 20 as an automatic operation device of a train vehicle 11 includes: speed detection means 21 for detecting a travelling speed; and operation control means 27 for controlling a travel driving device 26 and a brake device 22 according to a travel pattern. The travel pattern includes a coasting travel pattern including a coasting operation period defined by a coasting operation start point and a coasting operation finish point, an acceleration period until the coasting operation start point, and a deceleration period after the coasting operation finish point. The operation control means does not output a control signal for increasing the speed with respect to the travel driving device in the coasting operation period, in the case where the travelling speed is controlled according to the coasting travel pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】駅間を走行する際に力行運転とブレーキ制御を頻繁に繰り返してしまうのを回避して乗り心地の改善およびエネルギー効率の向上を図ることができる自動運転装置および列車自動運転システムを提供する。【解決手段】鉄道車両11の自動運転装置としての車上装置20は、走行速度を検出する速度検出手段21と、走行パターンに従って走行駆動装置26およびブレーキ装置22を制御する運転制御手段27とを備える。走行パターンには、惰行運転開始点と惰行運転終了点で規定される惰行運転期間と惰行運転開始点までの加速期間と惰行運転終了点以降の減速期間とを含む惰行走行パターンがある。運転制御手段は、惰行走行パターンに従って走行速度を制御する場合、惰行運転期間においては走行駆動装置に対して速度を上げる制御信号を出力しない。【選択図】図1
