To provide an underwater work system capable of efficiently carrying out search work for a pipeline using a diving machine.SOLUTION: A processor acquires a relative position of a diving machine to a surface boat from an acoustic positioning system at start of search work, calculates position of the diving machine based on the acquired relative position, and having the diving machine execute traverse detection for detecting an existence of a pipeline while traversing a predicted laying region for the pipeline after having the diving machine travel to a position not overlapping with the measurement error region and the predicted laying region when a calculated measurement error range with the position of the diving machine as the center and the predicted laying region for the pipeline extending in the prescribed direction overlap in an underwater work system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】潜水機を用いたパイプラインの探索作業を効率よく行うことができる水中作業システムを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の一態様に係る水中作業システムでは、処理装置は、探索作業の開始時に音響測位システムから水上船に対する潜水機の相対位置を取得し、取得した相対位置に基づいて潜水機の位置を算出し、算出した潜水機の位置を中心とする測定誤差領域と所定の方向に延びるパイプラインの予想敷設領域とが重複する場合には、測定誤差領域と前記予想敷設領域とが重複しない位置にまで潜水機を移動させた後、潜水機に前記予想敷設領域を横断しながらパイプラインの有無を検知する横断検知を実施させる。【選択図】図3
