To provide a condenser which can secure a sufficient internal volume of a liquid receiver.SOLUTION: A liquid receiver 4 of a condenser 1 is composed of a cylindrical main tank part 23 with a longitudinal direction oriented in a vertical direction, and a sub-tank part 24 having a cylindrical shape with the longitudinal direction oriented in the vertical direction, and arranged at a sideway of the main tank part 23. A refrigerant flow-out part 16 in which a refrigerant flows out to the main tank part 23 from a condensation part outlet header 19 is arranged between the main tank part 23 and the condensation part outlet header 19, and a refrigerant flow-in part 17 in which the refrigerant flows into an excess cooling part inlet header 21 from the main tank part 23 is arranged between the main tank part 23 and the excess cooling part inlet header 21 with an interval with the refrigerant flow-out part 16 in the vertical direction. The main tank part 23 and the sub-tank part 24 communicate with each other via a plurality of communication parts 25, 26 which are arranged with an interval in the vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
