To provide a technique by which a train position can be detected inexpensively and reliably.SOLUTION: An optical radar 30 of a train apparatus 10 has: light irradiation means 40 which can irradiate a prescribed area of a flat surface 31 on a train front side with light at different irradiation angles with respect to a train travel direction; and light reception means 50 which can receive reflectance such that the emitted light has been reflected by an object. An outer peripheral shape of the object, which exists in the front of a train 200, is discriminated on the basis of the light irradiation angle and the time (reflection time) from light irradiation to light reception. Storage means 60 has: object information database in which the outer peripheral shape and a reference point of the object existing along a track 100 are stored; and positional information database in which object identification information at each position along the track 100, and position reference information including a direction of the reference point of the object and a distance to the reference point are stored corresponding positional information. A position of the train 200 is detected on the basis of the discriminated outer peripheral shape of the object, object information database and positional information database.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】列車の位置を安価に、確実に検出することができる技術を提供する。【解決手段】列車装置10の光レーダー30は、列車前方側の平面31の所定領域に、列車進行方向に対して異なる照射角度で光を照射可能な光照射手段40と、照射した光が物体で反射した反射光を受光可能な受光手段50を有している。光の照射角度と光を照射してから反射光を受光するまでの時間(反射時間)に基づいて、列車200の前方に存在する物体の外周形状を判別する。記憶手段60は、軌道100に沿って存在する物体の外周形状および基準点が記憶されている物体情報データベースと、軌道100に沿った各位置における、物体識別情報、物体の基準点の方向および基準点までの距離を含む位置参照情報が位置情報に対応して記憶されている位置情報データベースを有している。判別した物体の外周形状、物体情報データベースおよび位置情報データベースに基づいて、列車200の位置を検出する。【選択図】図1
