To provide a vehicle navigation system capable of performing input operations and information provision in consideration of safety according to vehicle information and the traveling state of a vehicle.SOLUTION: The vehicle navigation system includes: an on-vehicle camera capable of picking up an image of occupants in a vehicle and detecting the direction of the line of sight of the occupants based on the pickup image of the occupants; and an on-board unit having a touch panel that can receive occupant operations and display information. The on-vehicle camera detects the direction of the line of sight of a driver out of the occupants and transmits a detection result including the direction of the line of sight of the driver and the pickup image to the on-board unit. The on-board unit receives input operations made on the information displayed on the touch panel based on the direction of the line of sight of the driver out of the received detection result and receives touch operations which are made on the touch panel by an occupant on a front passenger seat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
