To provide a seat rail manufacturing method that manufactures a resin seat rail including fiber-reinforced resin and having an excellent strength around a tightening hole.SOLUTION: A seat rail manufacturing method includes steps of press-forming a molding material including discontinuous reinforced fiber abd resin and cutting a portion of a press-formed member to obtain a seat rail. The press-formed member satisfies the following conditions (a) and (b). Condition (a): when a shortest distance of distances from a rim of a tightening hole of the seat rail obtained from the steps to an end portion of the seat rail is K1, a distance from the rim of the tightening hole included in the press-formed member or the tightening hole to be formed in the press-formed member to an end portion of the press-formed member is K1+30 mm or greater. Condition (b): in the press-formed member, the flatness of a region in the range of K1+30 mm is 5 mm or smaller from the rim of the tightening hole toward the end portion of the press-formed member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】繊維強化樹脂を含む樹脂製シートレールにおいて、締結孔の周辺の強度に優れるシートレールの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】不連続強化繊維と樹脂とを含む成形材料をプレス成形する工程とプレス成形体の一部を切断除去しシートレールを得る工程を有し、前記プレス成形体は、下記条件(a)及び(b)を満たす、シートレールの製造方法。条件(a):前記工程を経て得られる前記シートレールの締結孔の縁から前記シートレールの端部までの距離のうち最も短い距離をK1としたとき、前記プレス成形体が有する前記締結孔又は前記プレス成形体に設けられる予定の前記締結孔の縁から前記プレス成形体の端部までの距離は、K1+30mm以上である。条件(b):前記プレス成形体において、前記締結孔の縁から前記プレス成形体の端部に向かってK1+30mmの範囲の領域の平面度が5mm以下である。【選択図】図5
