To provide a road surface damage detection system that has a more simple constitution, is unsusceptible to an environment at a time of detection, and can more highly precisely detect a road surface damage.SOLUTION: A road surface damage detection system includes, for example, a fore-and-aft acceleration acquisition unit that acquires an acceleration in a fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle during traveling of the vehicle, a position information acquisition unit that acquires position information representing a current position of the vehicle, a damaged situation acquisition unit that acquires road surface damage information in which a road surface damage of a road surface, which is detected based on an acceleration change status, is associated with position information on a position where the road surface damage is detected, for the road surface on which the vehicle travels, and a transmission unit that transmits the acquired road surface damage information to the outside of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
