To provide a seat unit which can reduce the cost by performing communication so as to detect a failure such as battery exhaustion on a vehicle side without using a microcomputer.SOLUTION: A light-receiving circuit 22 outputs a light-receiving signal S1 according to presence/absence of light receiving of an optical signal. A switch input circuit 23 outputs a pulse-like on-off signal S2 that reaches Hi level and Lo level according to on-off states of switches SW1 and SW2 mounted on a seat 4. When the light-receiving signal S1 at the Lo level (presence of light receiving) is input and the on-off signal S2 at the Lo level is input, a logic circuit 24 outputs a lighting signal S3. When the lighting signal S3 is output, a light-emitting circuit 25 allows a light-emitting element 251 to emit light. A delay circuit 26 delays and inverts the light-receiving signal S1. When the delayed light-receiving signal S5 in the Lo level (absence of light receiving) is input, a power source to the switches SW1 and SW2 from the battery 6 is blocked and the switch input circuit 23 outputs the on-off signal S2 in the Lo level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】マイコンを用いずに、電池切れなどの故障まで車両側で検出できるような通信とすることによりコストダウンを図ったシートユニットを提供する。【解決手段】受光回路22が、光信号の受光の有無に応じた受光信号S1を出力する。スイッチ入力回路23が、シート4に搭載されたスイッチSW1、SW2のオンオフ状態に応じてHiレベル、Loレベルとなるパルス状のオンオフ信号S2を出力する。論理回路24が、Loレベル(受光あり)の受光信号S1が入力され、かつ、Loのオンオフ信号S2が入力されると、点灯信号S3を出力する。発光回路25は、点灯信号S3が出力されると発光素子251を発光する。遅延回路26が、受光信号S1を遅延、反転する。スイッチ入力回路23は、Loレベル(受光なし)の遅延された受光信号S5を入力すると、電池6からスイッチSW1、SW2に対する電源が遮断され、Loレベルのオンオフ信号S2を出力する。【選択図】図2
