To reduce possibility that a vehicle starts moving contrary to intention of a driver due to heat loosening or pedaling force loosening.SOLUTION: A braking force control apparatus 10 includes: a fluid pressure generation mechanism 70 which generates fluid pressure correlated with required braking force corresponding to a braking request, as required fluid pressure, when the braking request is made; a braking mechanism 80 which is arranged at each wheel, includes a rotation member 86 rotating along with each wheel and a braking member 88 which can contact the rotation member 86, and applies braking force depending on the required fluid pressure to each wheel by pressing the braking member 88 against the rotating rotary member 86 due to the required fluid pressure; fluid pressure control means for controlling the fluid pressure generation mechanism 70; and vehicle state specifying means for specifying whether a vehicle state is in a running state or a stopped state. While the required fluid pressure is generated and when a vehicle state to be specified shifts from the running state to the stopped state at a first time point, the fluid pressure control means performs stop-time boost control to boost the required fluid pressure after the first time point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
