To provide a backup power supply device that can effectively utilize the electric energy consumed when electric power stored in a power storage device is reduced.SOLUTION: When the ignition of a vehicle is switched off, a discharge current id2 is passed to step down a capacitor C1 to reduce the amount of electricity stored in order to suppress the deterioration of the capacitor C1. A DC/DC converter 21 generates power from the discharge current id2 at this time, and supplies this power to a vehicle lighting load 41 and a vehicle communication device 42 via a power supply line 24, a switch device SW2, and a power supply line 28a for effective utilization. When the ignition is switched off, it is expected that an occupant gets off immediately afterwards, such that turning-on of lights in a passenger compartment and a door helps ensure the convenience and safety of the occupants when the occupant gets off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】蓄電デバイスが蓄積している電力を減らす際に、消費される電気エネルギーを有効活用することが可能なバックアップ電源装置を提供すること。【解決手段】車両のイグニッションがオフに切り替わった時に、蓄電器C1の劣化抑制のために、放電電流id2を流して蓄電器C1を降圧し蓄電量を減らす。この時の放電電流id2からDC/DCコンバータ21が電源電力を生成し、この電力を電源ライン24、スイッチデバイスSW2、電源ライン28aを介して車載照明負荷41や車載通信機器42に供給し有効活用する。イグニッションのオフ時は、直後に乗員が降車することが想定されるので、車室内やドアの照明を点灯することにより、乗員の降車時の利便性や安全性を確保するために役立つ。【選択図】図1
