To provide a manned-unmanned forklift capable of being prevented from becoming undrivable when a travel mode switches from a manned travel mode to an unmanned travel mode, and a travel control method thereof.SOLUTION: A manned-unmanned forklift having a manned travel mode and a first unmanned travel mode in which the forklift automatically travels by laser guidance comprises a location estimation unit 14, a map creation unit 13, a travel mode setting unit 15, and a determination unit 16 which determines effectiveness of whether a self location exists in a first region with low effectiveness of laser guidance or in a second region with high effectiveness of laser guidance at a timing of switching the travel mode from the manned travel mode to the first unmanned travel mode. When the determination unit determines that the self location exists in the first region in effectiveness determination, the travel mode setting unit 15 sets the travel mode to a second unmanned travel mode in which the forklift automatically travels by SLAM guidance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
