To provide a camera system, a passenger monitoring system, a moving device, an image capturing method, and a program, which can appropriately perform image capturing while suppressing an increase in size of an imaging optical system.SOLUTION: A camera system includes an image sensor 40, a wavelength filter 44, and an imaging optical system 41. The image sensor 40 has an image capturing plane 400. The imaging optical system 41 has light from a subject passed through the wavelength filter 44 and imaged on the image capturing plane 400. The wavelength filter 44 has a perpendicularly incident region 443 and an obliquely incident region 444. On the perpendicularly incident region 443, a principal ray which has passed through the imaging optical system 41 is incident perpendicularly. On the obliquely incident region 444, the principal ray which has passed through the imaging optical system 41 is incident obliquely. In the image sensor 40, a sensitivity to the principal ray passing through the obliquely incident region 444 is higher than a sensitivity to the principal ray passing through the perpendicularly incident region 443.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
