To provide a method for producing a foam molded body and a foam molded body, capable of achieving both suppression of a decrease in strength of the foam molded body and good mold releasability even when a portion pressed by an ejector pin on an outer surface of the foam molded body is inclined with respect to the mold opening direction.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing of a foam molded body 30 comprises a molding step S12 of molding the foam molded body 30, a mold release step S13 of opening a fixed mold 41 and a movable mold 42, and extruding the foam molded body 30 from a fixed mold 41 by an ejector pin 60, the foam molded body 30 has an inclined surface 35b inclining with respect to a mold opening direction, and the inclined surface 35b is formed with a recess 36 for extruding the foam molded body 30 by the ejector pin 60, and a tip surface 61 of the ejector pin 60 has a first extrusion surface 61a forming a bottom surface 36b of the recess 36 perpendicular to the mold opening direction, and a second extrusion surface 61b that is inclined with respect to the first extrusion surface 61a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
