To effectively utilize an idle lane.SOLUTION: A server device comprises a reception unit 21 and a processing unit 22. The reception unit 21 receives lane state/vehicle position information of an idle lane via a communication network. The reception unit 21 receives own vehicle position information of a vehicle 1 via the communication network, and the reception unit 21 receives a traveling request for the idle lane from the vehicle 1 via the communication network. In response to the traveling request, the processing unit 22 determines whether or not the vehicle 1 can travel on the idle lane on the basis of the own vehicle position information of the vehicle 1 and the lane state/vehicle position information of the idle lane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
