To provide a system and a method for predicting an obstacle.SOLUTION: In a system for predicting an obstacle, a method is for detecting an obstacle 520 in a vehicular environment 500 by using a trust level related to an input of a host vehicle 540. Measurement object vehicles 504a and 504b are manual operation vehicles or autonomous travel vehicles, and are operated so as to detect an obstacle within the environment and respond to the obstacle. Even if the obstacle is not detected directly, the present of the obstacle within the environment is determined by using those operations. The system contains a host vehicle that receives prediction data related to an evasive behavior from one or more measurement target vehicles in the vehicular environment. The method establishes the trust level for the measurement target vehicle, determines an obscured obstacle by using the evasive behavior and the trust level, maps it in the vehicular environment, and generates guide information for the host vehicle by using the obscured obstacle and the trust level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
