To provide a spool valve capable of ensuring a large full flow passage area even when a stroke amount is reduced and to provide a damper capable of realizing a large damping force adjustment range while ensuring a stroke length.SOLUTION: A spool valve V comprises: a holder 6 which is cylindrical in shape and has a plurality of ports 6a and 6b communicating between an inside and an outside thereof; a spool 7 which is cylindrical in shape, inserted into the holder 6 so as to be able to reciprocate in an axial direction and capable of opening and closing communication ports 7a and 7b shifted to positions respectively opposite to the ports 6a and 6b; and a solenoid (actuator) 9 which drives the spool 7 in the axial direction. The respective ports 6a and 6b are provided at positions shifted in the axial direction with respect to the holder 6. The respective communication ports 7a and 7b are: arranged in the axial direction in an identical way with the respective ports 6a and 6b; and provided at positions shifted in the axial direction with respect to the spool 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】ストローク量を小さくしても全開時の流路面積を大きく確保できるスプール弁およびストローク長を確保しつつも大きな減衰力調整幅を実現できる緩衝器の提供である。【解決手段】スプール弁Vは、筒状であって内外を連通する複数のポート6a,6bを有するホルダ6と、筒状であってホルダ6内に軸方向に往復動可能に挿入されるとともに各ポート6a,6bのそれぞれに対応して対向可能な連通ポート7a,7bを開閉可能なスプール7と、スプール7を軸方向へ駆動するソレノイド(アクチュエータ)9とを備え、各ポート6a,6bは、ホルダ6に対して軸方向にずれた位置に設けられ、各連通ポート7a,7bは、各ポート6a,6bの軸方向における配置と同じ配置でスプール7に対して軸方向にずれた位置に設けられている。【選択図】図2
