To prevent lateral shake during rotation of a gear plate, to eliminate uneven wear of a tooth thereof, and to transmit external force, applied by pedaling, to a rear wheel without loss.SOLUTION: For one end of a crank shaft 12 projecting from a cylindrical portion 13 of a bottom bracket 11, a crank arm fixing portion 12C and a gear plate fixing portion 12D are separated by a notch or a groove. For example, a step surface is formed at one end of the crank shaft, and an annular groove 18 with a depth from the step surface to a bearing support is formed so as to surround the axial portion of the crank shaft. A configuration is made such that elastic deformation resulting from external force applied from the crank arm to the one end of the crank shaft is not transmitted to the gear plate fixing portion. A hard rubber material may be interposed in this notch or groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】ギヤ板の回転時の横ぶれを防止する。その歯の片減りなどをなくす。踏み込んだ外力を後輪にロス無く伝達する。【解決手段】ボトムブラケット11の円筒部13から突出したクランク軸12の一端部について、クランクアーム固定部12Cとギヤ板固定部12Dとを切り欠きまたは溝により分離した。例えばクランク軸の一端部に段差面を形成し、段差面から軸受支持部までの深さの、クランク軸の軸心部を取り囲むように環状の溝18を形成する。クランク軸一端部にクランクアームから付加された外力による弾性変形は上記ギヤ板固定部には伝達されない構成とした。この切り欠きまたは溝には硬質ゴム材を介装してもよい。【選択図】図1
