To improve performance in detection and monitoring of a crewman in a chamber of a vehicle by reducing a dead angle of a crewman detection unit.SOLUTION: A crewman monitoring device comprises: an image sensor 3a and a biological sensor 3d that detect a crewman M in a vehicle chamber K of a vehicle 30 in a non-contact manner; a control unit that monitors the crewman on the basis of a detection result from them; and a moving unit 4 that moves the image sensor 3a and the biological sensor 3d to cross directions F and B in the vehicle chamber K in which sheets 31 to 34 on which each crewman M sit are arranged. A detection range G of the image sensor 3a and a detection range E of the biological sensor 3d are set to be shifted in the cross directions F and B of the vehicle 30 so as to be achieved to left and right both side walls of the vehicle chamber K. The control unit moves the detection ranges G and E of the image sensor 3a and the biological sensor 3d so as to exceed a backrest part 3y of the sheets 31 to 34 while moving the image sensor 3a and the biological sensor 3d by the moving unit 4 in the cross directions F and B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
