To propose a new technique for detecting the position and speed of a train on the ground side.SOLUTION: An alarm control device 30 of a railroad crossing 10 includes: a detection device 40 for detecting a position and speed of a train with respect to the railroad crossing 10; and a timing determination unit 32 for determining the start timing and/or the end timing of the alarm control of the railroad crossing 10 based on the position and speed of the train detected by the detection device 40. The detection device 40 includes: a transmission unit 42 for periodically transmitting a pulse wave having a prescribed pulse frequency from a prescribed position Pof a rail R defined within the railroad crossing 10 or within a prescribed distance from the railroad crossing 10; a detection unit 44 for detecting a reflected wave against a pulse wave that occurs when the train is on the rail R at the prescribed position P; a calculation unit 46 for calculating the position and speed of the train based on the transmission and reception interval between the transmission of the pulse wave by the transmission unit 42 and the detection of the reflected wave by the detection unit 44, and the change in the transmission and reception interval.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】地上側で列車の位置および速度を検知する新たな技術を提案すること。【解決手段】踏切10の警報制御装置30は、踏切10に対する列車の位置および速度を検知する検知装置40と、検知装置40により検知された列車の位置および速度に基づいて、踏切10の警報制御の開始タイミングおよび/又は終止タイミングを決定するタイミング決定部32とを備える。検知装置40は、踏切10内または踏切10から所定距離内に定められたレールRの所定位置Piから、所定のパルス周波数のパルス波であるパルス波を周期的に送信する送信部42と、列車がレールRに在線していた場合に生じるパルス波に対する反射波を所定位置Piにて検出する検出部44と、送信部42によるパルス波の送信と検出部44による反射波の検出との送受信間隔および当該送受信間隔の変化に基づいて、列車の位置および速度を算出する算出部46とを備える。【選択図】図1
