To provide a production method of a crash box that is easily deformed in bellow, and can surely absorb impact energy.SOLUTION: The present invention is applied to a production method of a crash box in which a first layer and a second layer having strength lower than the first layer are alternately formed in a longitudinal direction of the crash box. The production method of the crash box according to the present invention includes a process of alternately molding the first layer and the second layer in a longitudinal direction of the crash box, while irradiating metal powder with laser, the first layer is molded by irradiating the crash box in stripe with laser, and the second layer is molded by laser irradiation so as to trace a contour of the crash box.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】蛇腹状に変形し易く、衝撃エネルギーをより確実に吸収することができるクラッシュボックスの製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明は、第1層と第1層よりも強度が低い第2層とがクラッシュボックスの長手方向に交互に形成されたクラッシュボックスの製造方法に適用される。本発明に係るクラッシュボックスの製造方法は、金属粉にレーザ照射を行いながら、クラッシュボックスの長手方向に第1層と第2層とを交互に造形する工程を備え、第1層は、クラッシュボックスをストライプ状にレーザ照射を行って造形し、第2層は、クラッシュボックスの輪郭を辿るようにレーザ照射を行って造形する。【選択図】図5
