To provide a system, a device and a method to facilitate tying a knot.SOLUTION: The device includes a fixture 16 defining an internal passage. The fixture defines a circumferential groove 28 accessible through an interior surface 30 of the fixture and in communication with an internal passage. The groove includes first and second groove portions that intersect each other. Both ends 28a, 28b of the groove are coincident and open through an opening defined by an exterior surface of the fixture. The system includes a fixture and a lead member feeding mechanism configured to alternately feed a lead member through the groove, and withdraw the lead member from the groove when a tying member is connected thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
