To provide a driver of rolling stock suppressing fault current due to earth fault of filter circuit reactor, and resonance current at the time of sudden change of overhead voltage.SOLUTION: A driver 1S has a power conversion apparatus 6 for converting a DC power supplied from an overhead wire 1 into an AC power, a filter reactor 9 connected to the overhead wire 1 side of the power conversion apparatus 6, a switching element Q7 connected with the overhead wire 1 side of the filter reactor 9, a resistor 101 connected in parallel with the switching element Q7, a circuit breaker 11 connected to the overhead wire 1 side of the switching element Q7 and configured to block the DC power, voltage detection means 13 for detecting the overhead wire voltage, current detection means 12 for detecting the overhead wire current, and a control logic part 15. The control logic part 15 performs control for controlling switching of the switching element Q7 to perform chopping operation, on the basis of the overhead wire voltage or the overhead wire current, and control for blocking the DC power by releasing the circuit breaker 11 after OFF controlling the switching element Q7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
