To provide a vehicle control system configured to perform appropriate vehicle control on the basis of a communication state with a terminal device, a vehicle control method, and a program.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system includes: a recognition unit which recognizes surroundings of a vehicle; a driving control unit which performs driving control by speed control and steering control of the vehicle, without relying on operation of an occupant, on the basis of a recognition result of the recognition unit; a communication unit which communicates with a terminal device; and an acquisition unit which acquires a communication state between the communication unit and the terminal device. When the vehicle is parked in a first parking area where a vehicle is parked by travel through the driving control and when a communication state with the terminal device acquired by the acquisition unit is lower than a reference, the driving control unit causes the vehicle to exit the first parking area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】端末装置との通信状態に基づいて適切な車両制御を行うことができる車両制御システム、車両制御方法、及びプログラムを提供すること。【解決手段】実施形態の車両制御システムは、車両の周辺環境を認識する認識部と、前記認識部の認識結果に基づいて、乗員の操作に依らずに前記車両の速度制御および操舵制御による運転制御を行う運転制御部と、端末装置と通信する通信部と、前記通信部と前記端末装置との通信状態を取得する取得部と、を備え、前記運転制御部は、前記運転制御による走行によって車両が駐車する第1駐車エリアに前記車両が駐車された状態であって、且つ前記取得部により取得された前記端末装置との通信状態が基準よりも悪い場合に、前記車両を前記第1駐車エリアから退出させる、車両制御システムである。【選択図】図1
