To provide a gas detector for fuel cell vehicle capable of restraining false detection of hydrogen leakage under a prescribed condition.SOLUTION: In a gas detector for fuel cell vehicle where an exhaust port 24a of gas discharged from a fuel cell system 20 is placed lower than an undercover 25, hydrogen concentration is calculated based on a concentration signal transmitted from hydrogen detectors 26, 27, and a determination is made whether or not the calculated hydrogen concentration is less than 3% (step S6). When the hydrogen concentration is less than 3%, hydrogen concentration is calculated based on the concentration signal transmitted from the hydrogen detectors 26, 27, and a determination is made whether or not the calculated hydrogen concentration is 2% or more, and that state has continued 10 seconds or more (step S7), and when that state has continued 10 second or more, a determination is made that hydrogen is leaking (step S4).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】所定条件下において水素漏れであると誤検出することを抑制することができる燃料電池車両用のガス検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】燃料電池システム20から排出されるガスの排出口24aがアンダーカバー25よりも下部に配置された燃料電池車両用のガス検出装置であって、水素ディテクタ26、27から送信された濃度信号に基づいて水素濃度を算出し、算出した水素濃度が3%未満であるか否かを判定する(ステップS6)。水素濃度が3%未満である場合に、水素ディテクタ26、27から送信された濃度信号に基づいて水素濃度を算出し、算出した水素濃度が2%以上であり、且つ、水素濃度が2%以上であることが10秒以上継続しているか否かを判定し(ステップS7)、継続していた場合に水素漏れであると判定する(ステップS4)。【選択図】図3
